100 Famous Mountains

How the list was chosen

The Korea Forest Service chose 100 mountains nationwide to mark the International Year of Mountains in 2002. A 13-member selection committee scored candidates on five criteria; the result includes 31 national parks, 15 provincial parks and 10 county parks. The list on this page is the KFS list registered in our database, and a mountain spanning more than one province is shown under each province it touches.
